Job Summary
The Production Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved as per the plan, maintaining product quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily production plans as per the approved schedule and production targets.
- Monitor production activities and ensure smooth operation of manufacturing and packing lines.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, raw materials, packaging materials, and machinery.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance Department for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Food Safety, and Hygiene requirements.
- Maintain proper production records, batch records, shift reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor production losses, material wastage, rejections, and process deviations, and take corrective actions.
- Ensure proper line clearance, changeover, and cleaning activities before starting production.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Warehouse teams for smooth production operations.
- Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Monitor product quality during production and immediately report any quality deviations to the Quality Department.
- Ensure proper handling and traceability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Train and guide operators and contract workers on production processes, safety, hygiene, and SOP compliance.
- Monitor manpower attendance and deployment according to production requirements.
- Identify opportunities for reducing production costs, improving productivity, and minimizing material and process losses.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Prepare and submit daily production reports and communicate production performance to the reporting manager.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained in the production area.
- Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by the Plant Head.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food or spice manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of production processes, food safety standards, and MS Office/ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
